Date:

Islamabad, Pakistan – Web Desk: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Friday commended Pakistan’s security forces for thwarting an attempted cross-border infiltration by militants along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border.

In a statement, the prime minister praised the professionalism and swift response of troops deployed in the Mohmand and North Waziristan regions, where the attempted incursion was intercepted.

According to officials, militants believed to have originated from across the Afghan border were prevented from entering Pakistani territory, with at least 13 attackers killed during the operation.

Sharif paid tribute to the courage and vigilance of the security personnel, saying their timely action had averted a potential threat. He reiterated that Pakistan would continue its fight against terrorism until it is completely eradicated.

“The war against the scourge of terrorism will continue until its complete elimination,” the prime minister said, adding that hostile elements would not be allowed to succeed in their designs against the country.

He also emphasised that members of the armed forces remain committed to defending the nation at all costs, often making the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.

Reaffirming national resolve, Sharif said the entire nation stands united with its armed forces and remains determined to ensure peace and security across Pakistan.
