Pakistani Leader Announces Khyber-to-Karachi Gaza March

Date:

PESHAWAR, Pakistan – Web Desk: Mumtaz Ahmed Khan, former senator and head of the Pakistan Rights Movement, announced a nationwide “Gaza March” spanning from Khyber to Karachi, beginning March 29. Speaking at a press conference in Peshawar, Khan emphasized solidarity with Iran’s leadership amid escalating tensions with the United States and Israel.

Khan criticized the closure of Al-Aqsa Mosque during Ramadan, calling it the first such occurrence in 69 years, and condemned Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s warnings of a prophesied end-times figure, describing them as symbolic of growing regional aggression.

He also called for Pakistan to withdraw from the Gaza Peace Board, citing Indonesia’s exit and recent attacks on Iran and Lebanon following the board’s first session. Khan urged Pakistan to align with Iran while normalizing relations with Afghanistan.

Highlighting humanitarian concerns, Khan stated that nearly 300,000 children have died in Gaza, accusing Israel of using starvation as a weapon. He noted that of the 72,000 trucks scheduled to deliver aid, only 30,000 had reached the besieged region.

The announcement comes amid rising tensions across the Middle East, with activists and political figures mobilizing public demonstrations in support of Gaza.
