Pakistan Struggle at 47/4 Chasing 176 in T20 World Cup Clash

Colombo, Sri Lanka — Web Desk: Pakistan suffered an early batting collapse while chasing a target of 176 runs against India in the ICC T20 World Cup Group A match in Colombo, losing four wickets for just 47 runs in the first seven overs.

Captain Salman Ali Agha, Saim Ayub, Babar Azam, and Sahibzada Farhan were dismissed cheaply as Pakistan’s top order failed to provide a solid start. Mohammad Usman and Shadab Khan were at the crease as the chase continued.

Earlier, India posted 175 for 7 in their allotted 20 overs after being invited to bat. Ishan Kishan top-scored with a brisk 77, while captain Suryakumar Yadav made 32, Shivam Dube 27, and Tilak Varma 25. Hardik Pandya, Axar Patel, and Abhishek Sharma were dismissed without scoring. Rinku Singh remained unbeaten on 11.

For Pakistan, Saim Ayub claimed three wickets, while Salman Agha, Usman Tariq, and Shaheen Shah Afridi picked up one wicket each.

The match is a crucial fixture in the T20 World Cup Group A standings, with both teams looking to secure key points in the tournament.
