Pallekele, Sri Lanka – Web Desk: Pakistan set England a target of 165 runs in their Super 8 clash of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, scoring 164 for nine in their allotted 20 overs.

Saibzada Farhan led the batting with a well-crafted 63, anchoring Pakistan’s innings in the crucial Group Super 8 encounter. Fakhar Zaman and Babar Azam each scored 25, while Shadab Khan added 23. Usman Khan made eight, Saim Ayub scored seven, captain Salman Agha contributed five, Shaheen Shah Afridi two, and Mohammad Nawaz was dismissed for a duck. Salman Mirza remained unbeaten on two.

For England, Liam Dawson was the pick of the bowlers with three wickets, while Jofra Archer and Jamie Overton took two wickets each. Adil Rashid claimed one wicket.

The match is the 45th fixture of the tournament and a key contest in the Super 8 stage, with both teams aiming to secure a place in the knockout rounds.
