Pakistan Rejects Reports of Sharing Iranian Nuclear Program Information with US

Date:

ISLAMABAD – Web Desk: Pakistan has strongly rejected reports that it shared information about Iran’s nuclear program with the United States, calling such claims “baseless, misleading, and contrary to facts,” according to Foreign Office spokesperson Tahir Andrabi.

During his weekly briefing, Andrabi categorically denied claims emerging from the May 29 meeting between Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio. He stated that Pakistan’s foreign policy is based on principled positions, regional stability, and mutual respect, adding that there is no truth to speculations about exchanging confidential information against any country.

The spokesperson also warned India over potential actions regarding river waters under the Indus Waters Treaty, stating that if New Delhi attempts to block water or use it as a weapon, Pakistan has all options available for response. Pakistan will not accept any illegal action against its water and food security.

Andrabi reiterated Pakistan’s stance on the Abraham Accords, confirmed that ten Pakistani citizens remain in Somali pirates’ captivity with diplomatic efforts ongoing for their safe return, and noted that a Kashmiri citizen named Zeeshan has been arrested by Indian forces on the Line of Control. He welcomed the ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon, condemned attacks on Kuwait and Bahrain, and stated that Pakistan continues to be targeted by terrorism from Afghan soil while reserving all legitimate and legal rights to protect its citizens.
