Islamabad, Pakistan — Pakistan’s Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has reaffirmed the government’s commitment to facilitating the upcoming annual Tableeghi Ijtema, one of the world’s largest Islamic congregations, scheduled for November.
In a high-level meeting held in Islamabad, Naqvi met with senior representatives of the Tableeghi Jamaat, including Anwar Ghani, Iqbal Mian, Muhammad Aamir, and Zahid Pracha. Also in attendance were Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry, the Chief Commissioner, and the Inspector General of Islamabad.
Naqvi assured the delegation that the Ministry of Interior would extend full logistical and administrative support, emphasizing that special visa assistance would be provided to international attendees. “Facilitating Islamic preaching is both a national responsibility and a spiritual honor,” he stated.
To streamline arrivals, dedicated counters at airports will be established, continuing a tradition of hospitality for global participants. Last year’s Ijtema drew over 15,000 attendees from 108 countries, underscoring its significance as a global spiritual event.
The meeting concluded with a prayer for flood victims and for Pakistan’s peace, progress, and prosperity.
