Karachi, Pakistan – Web Desk: Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf has said the Pakistan Navy was fully prepared to target an Indian aircraft carrier during the “Marka-e-Haq” conflict, but the Indian Navy remained confined to what it considered safer zones.

Speaking at the induction ceremony of the second Milgem-class warship, PNS Khaibar, Admiral Ashraf emphasized Pakistan’s strategic maritime position, highlighting the need for a strong naval force to safeguard vital sea trade and energy routes.

He stated that any attempt to challenge Pakistan’s maritime interests would be met with a decisive response. The naval chief added that during the conflict, Pakistan Navy maintained full operational readiness to engage high-value enemy assets, including aircraft carriers.

Admiral Ashraf further noted that the navy is being equipped with advanced platforms and specialized technologies to enhance its capability to target critical enemy infrastructure and naval assets. He described the induction of modern vessels like PNS Khaibar and the planned addition of Hangor-class submarines as key milestones in the modernization of the fleet.

He concluded by expressing confidence in the crew of PNS Khaibar and reaffirmed the navy’s commitment to defending Pakistan’s maritime boundaries and fulfilling its operational responsibilities.
