Colombo, Sri Lanka – Web Desk: Following a 61-run defeat to India in the ICC T20 World Cup 2026, Pakistan now faces a must-win final group match against Namibia to qualify for the Super 8 stage.
India secured their place in the Super 8 after defeating Pakistan in their Group A encounter at Colombo’s Premadasa Stadium. Pakistan’s net run rate took a significant hit due to the loss, dropping from 0.932 to -0.403, leaving them below the United States on the points table. The US, with two wins from four matches, holds four points and a net run rate of 0.788.
Pakistan’s final group match against Namibia is scheduled for 18 February. A victory is essential for Pakistan to advance; any upset by Namibia would eliminate them from the Super 8 contention.
