Islamabad, Pakistan – Web Desk: The government of Pakistan has announced a significant increase in petroleum prices, raising petrol by Rs 8 per liter and high-speed diesel by Rs 5.16 per liter, effective March 1 through March 15, 2026, according to a notification issued by the Petroleum Division.
The price adjustment follows recommendations from the Oil & Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA). With the revision, petrol will cost Rs 266.17 per liter, up from Rs 258.17, while high-speed diesel will rise from Rs 275.70 to Rs 280.86 per liter.
The government’s move comes amid rising global fuel prices and domestic economic pressures, impacting transportation and industrial costs across the country. Consumers are advised to plan for the new rates during the mid-March period.
