Islamabad (Web Desk) – Pakistan marked a significant presence at a major international crypto and financial gathering as Bilal Bin Saqib, Chairman of the Pakistan Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority, participated in the World Liberty Forum held in the United States.
Bilal Bin Saqib described the forum as a key platform bringing together global financial leaders, crypto innovators, and policymakers to discuss the future of digital finance.
The event featured participation from major financial institutions, including Goldman Sachs, Nasdaq, Franklin Templeton, and Coinbase.
Participants engaged in detailed discussions on “The Future of Stablecoins, Tokenization, and Financial Innovation,” focusing on regulatory frameworks, cross-border payments, and the integration of blockchain-based financial systems into mainstream economies.
Last month, Pakistan signed a memorandum of understanding with World Liberty Financial to explore a dollar-backed stablecoin for cross-border payments. Officials described the partnership as one of the early prominent collaborations between the platform and a sovereign state.
Authorities say Pakistan is actively working to regulate digital assets, promote modern financial systems, and position itself as a competitive participant in the global digital economy.
The government views digital asset regulation and financial innovation as key components in strengthening economic resilience and expanding international financial integration.
