Pakistan Fuel Stations Reject Five-Day Strike Rumors

Date:

Islamabad, Pakistan – Web Desk: Pakistan’s fuel station owners have dismissed reports of a planned five-day nationwide strike, assuring the public that petrol pumps will remain open and fuel supply will continue without disruption.

Nauman Ali Butt, Vice Chairman of the All Pakistan Petroleum Pump Owners Association, termed the reports of a strike from May 1 to May 5 as “baseless rumors.” He said there is no plan to shut down petrol pumps and clarified that the association does not support any such action.

“All petrol pumps across the country will remain operational as usual, and there will be no interruption in the supply of petroleum products,” he said, urging the public not to pay attention to unverified information.

Separately, the Petroleum Division also issued a statement rejecting the strike claims, confirming that fuel supply remains stable and uninterrupted. Authorities warned against the spread of misinformation that could create unnecessary panic among citizens.

Officials added that despite ongoing tensions in the Middle East, Pakistan’s petroleum supply chain has remained intact and will continue to meet national demand.
