Islamabad, Pakistan – Web Desk: Pakistan is facilitating the return of 30 Iranian nationals as part of a humanitarian cooperation effort involving multiple international authorities, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has said.

In a statement posted on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Ishaq Dar said the individuals include eight Iranian fishermen who were rescued at sea by the British vessel MMA Valour after their boat became stranded. The remaining 22 individuals are crew members of the vessel Lenore/Davina, who were recently taken into custody by U.S. authorities.

Dar said both groups are expected to return to Iran via Karachi in the coming days.

He added that Pakistan is in close coordination with Iranian, U.S., and British authorities to ensure the safe transfer and early repatriation of the citizens involved.

The foreign minister emphasized that Pakistan remains committed to humanitarian cooperation and continues to extend support for the welfare and safe return of Iranian nationals.
