Islamabad, Pakistan – Web Desk: Pakistan has strongly condemned Israeli airstrikes in Lebanon, warning that such actions are undermining ongoing regional peace efforts and violating international law.
Foreign Office spokesperson Tahir Hussain Andrabi said the attacks had caused significant loss of life and widespread damage to infrastructure. He reiterated Pakistan’s full solidarity with the Lebanese government and people during what he described as a critical time.
“The Israeli actions not only breach international law but also harm ongoing diplomatic efforts aimed at restoring peace in the region,” the spokesperson said in an official statement. Pakistan reaffirmed its support for Lebanon’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and long-term stability.
Separately, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation with Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud to discuss the situation.
Both leaders expressed deep concern over reported ceasefire violations in Lebanon and stressed the urgent need for full implementation and strict adherence to the truce to ensure lasting peace and stability in the Middle East.
During the call, Ishaq Dar also appreciated Saudi Arabia’s continued support for Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts aimed at promoting regional peace.
Analysts say renewed tensions and continued military actions risk escalating the situation further, potentially jeopardizing fragile ceasefire arrangements and broader diplomatic initiatives in the region.
