Erdogan Contacts Pakistan, Qatar Over Iran Ceasefire

Ankara, Turkey – Web Desk: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan held separate telephone conversations with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Qatar’s Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani to discuss the ongoing ceasefire process in Iran and recent regional developments.

According to media reports, Erdogan appreciated Pakistan’s diplomatic role in facilitating ceasefire efforts during the recent conflict involving the United States, Israel, and Iran. He emphasized that the two-week truce should be used effectively to advance long-term peace and stability in the region.

Erdogan reiterated that Turkey would continue to play an active role in supporting sustainable peace efforts through diplomacy and dialogue.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, in response, acknowledged Turkey’s support in the ceasefire process and welcomed Ankara’s continued engagement in regional peace initiatives. Both leaders exchanged views on the latest developments and ongoing diplomatic efforts aimed at de-escalation.

In a separate call, President Erdogan also spoke with the Emir of Qatar, highlighting that the recently announced two-week ceasefire presents a critical opportunity for achieving lasting peace and stability in the Middle East.

The leaders discussed the evolving regional situation and underscored the importance of coordinated diplomatic efforts to prevent further escalation and promote dialogue among all parties.
