Pakistan and China have agreed to deepen cooperation under CPEC 2.0, while expanding collaboration in trade, investment, the digital economy, and artificial intelligence, according to Pakistan’s Foreign Office.
The understanding was reached during a meeting between Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi in Shanghai, where the two leaders also exchanged views on regional and global developments.
Shanghai, China – Web Desk: According to the Foreign Office, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining close coordination on issues of mutual interest and strengthening the long-standing strategic partnership between the two countries.
Pakistan and China also agreed to enhance cooperation in the digital economy and artificial intelligence, reflecting their shared focus on technology-driven economic growth.
In a separate development, Pakistan signed the agreement establishing the World Artificial Intelligence Cooperation Organization (WAICO), reinforcing its commitment to international collaboration in emerging technologies.
