Pakistan Calls for Middle East De-Escalation After Diplomatic Talks

Date:

Islamabad, Pakistan – Web Desk: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar met with British High Commissioner Jane Marriott to discuss bilateral relations and regional security developments. During the meeting, Dar reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to diplomatic engagement and expressed appreciation for continued cooperation with the Commonwealth of Nations.

The deputy prime minister stated that he would be unable to attend the forthcoming Commonwealth Foreign Affairs Ministers Meeting due to the prevailing regional situation. He emphasized the importance of de-escalation and restraint in the Middle East, warning that continued tensions could undermine regional stability and security.

Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has activated crisis management mechanisms to assist citizens affected by regional disruptions. Authorities reported enhanced efforts to facilitate the return of Pakistani nationals abroad through coordinated diplomatic and logistical support.

Special facilitation desks have been established at Pakistani embassies to provide visa assistance, accommodation, and travel arrangements for stranded citizens. Digital support systems, including online portals and helplines, have also been launched to improve communication and aid services.

Officials confirmed that commercial flight operations have partially resumed, enabling the repatriation of Pakistani citizens. The foreign office reiterated that the safety and welfare of overseas Pakistanis remain a top priority, with ongoing coordination between diplomatic missions and host governments.

Pakistan continues to advocate for peaceful solutions to regional disputes and diplomatic engagement as the preferred path toward stability.
