RAWALPINDI – October 8, 2025:
Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir presided over the 272nd Corps Commanders’ Conference at General Headquarters, Rawalpindi, where Pakistan’s top military leadership reviewed national security challenges, counterterrorism efforts, and regional developments.
The session began with prayers for the martyrs of recent terrorist attacks attributed to Indian-sponsored proxies. COAS Munir praised the armed forces for their resilience in combating foreign-backed terrorism and their active role in flood relief operations alongside civil institutions.
Firm Warning to India
The Forum expressed grave concern over provocative statements from Indian leadership, labeling them as attempts to incite war hysteria for political gain. Commanders warned that any Indian aggression would be met with a swift and decisive response, dismantling any illusion of geographic invulnerability.
The military leadership declared that any effort to establish a “new normal” would be countered with an equally resolute and retributive stance.
Counterterrorism and Strategic Alliances
Participants reaffirmed their commitment to ongoing counterterrorism operations targeting Indian-backed networks such as Fitna Al-Khawarij and Fitna Al-Hindustan. The Forum also acknowledged Pakistan’s recent diplomatic strides and emphasized its dedication to regional and global peace.
A major highlight was the recognition of the Strategic Mutual Defence Agreement signed with Saudi Arabia, aimed at strengthening bilateral defense ties and ensuring coordinated responses to external threats.
Solidarity with Kashmir and Palestine
The Forum reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering support for the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination under UN resolutions. It also reaffirmed solidarity with the Palestinian cause, advocating for a two-state solution based on pre-1967 borders and Al Quds Al Sharif as the capital of an independent Palestinian state.
Operational Readiness and Future Outlook
Concluding the conference, COAS Asim Munir directed commanders to uphold the highest standards of discipline, innovation, and preparedness. He expressed full confidence in the Pakistan Army’s capabilities across conventional, sub-conventional, hybrid, and asymmetric warfare domains.
The conference underscored Pakistan’s resolve to defend its sovereignty and support oppressed peoples globally, sending a clear message of strength and solidarity.
