Pakistan All-Rounder Nida Dar Announces International Comeback

Date:

Karachi, Pakistan – Web Desk: Veteran Pakistan women’s cricket all-rounder Nida Dar has confirmed her return to international cricket after nearly a year-long break, marking a significant boost for the national side.

According to details, Nida Dar stepped away from cricket in April 2025 due to personal and professional challenges, during which she also faced concerns related to her mental well-being.

In a social media message, the 39-year-old all-rounder said she is now feeling better and fully prepared to make herself available again for national selection. She added that she is committed to working hard and delivering strong performances in line with the team’s requirements.

Nida Dar last represented Pakistan in October 2024 during the T20 World Cup match against New Zealand. Following a dip in form and fitness concerns, she was also left out of the central contract list.

Despite recent setbacks, she remains one of Pakistan’s most accomplished women cricketers. She is the first Pakistani player to take 100 wickets in T20 internationals and holds a national record with 144 T20I wickets.

With the bat, she has also been a consistent performer, scoring more than 2,000 runs in T20 internationals, making her one of the leading all-rounders in Pakistan women’s cricket history.
