Pakistan’s security forces have intensified Operation Shaban in Balochistan following the terrorist attack on the Mangi Dam Police Station, with security officials claiming that 75 militants have been killed in the operation and other intelligence-based operations since July 5.
Quetta, Pakistan – Web Desk: According to security sources, Pakistan Army, Frontier Corps (FC), and Balochistan Police continue to conduct coordinated ground and aerial operations against militants in the province’s rugged mountainous terrain.
Officials said 26 militants were killed during operations carried out on July 6 and 7, while 13 more militants were killed during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of militants eliminated in Operation Shaban to 39.
Separately, security forces repelled a terrorist attack on the Zaidi Police Station in Khuzdar early Friday morning. According to security sources, Pakistan Army and FC troops responded swiftly, killing eight attackers during the exchange of fire.
Security officials also reported that five to six additional militants are believed to have been killed during helicopter-assisted operations, although the figures have yet to be independently verified.
Authorities said counterterrorism operations remain underway, with security forces continuing search-and-clear missions aimed at dismantling militant hideouts and restoring security across affected areas of Balochistan.
