(Web Desk) – The National Assembly will meet on Thursday at 5 p.m., with a comprehensive 15-point agenda scheduled for discussion and approval, according to an official release issued ahead of the session.
The agenda includes multiple legislative items as well as public-interest notices. A notice drawing attention to rising air pollution—a growing environmental and public-health concern—has been added to the day’s business. Another notice highlighting the shortage of transportation facilities for students in Islamabad’s schools and colleges is also set for debate, reflecting the assembly’s focus on social welfare issues.
Several important bills will be presented for approval, including the Shahadah Law Amendment Bill 2025, and the Danish Schools Authority Bill 2025, which aims to strengthen governance and academic standards within the Danish Schools network. Lawmakers will also consider the Shah Hamad Nursing Associated Medical Institute Bill, aimed at bolstering medical and nursing education in the country.
Amendments to cultural and educational institutions are also on the agenda. The National College of Arts Amendment Bill 2025 and the National Fund for Cultural Heritage Amendment Bill 2025 will both be presented for discussion, underscoring ongoing efforts to support Pakistan’s arts, heritage, and academic sectors.
The Senior Citizens Amendment Bill 2025 has also been included, signaling legislative attention toward enhancing protections and services for older citizens.
With a mix of social, educational, cultural, and environmental matters on the table, Thursday’s session is expected to be a significant one in terms of both policymaking and public welfare.
