Mustafa Kamal: Pakistan Averted World War III, Diplomacy for 100 Years Couldn’t Have Done It

Date:

ISLAMABAD – Web Desk: Federal Health Minister Mustafa Kamal has claimed that Pakistan averted the outbreak of World War III, a feat he said could not have been achieved even with 100 years of diplomacy.

Speaking at a press conference at the National Institute of Health, Kamal said: “We have prevented a third world war. This success could not have been achieved even with 100 years of diplomacy.” He added that Pakistan is now receiving recognition on its green passport.

Addressing health issues, Kamal said no new HIV cases have been reported in Tunsa this year, and cases being reported date back to 2024. He said there are currently 618 cases in Islamabad, with 210 originating from the city and 408 from Rawalpindi, Azad Kashmir, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Gilgit-Baltistan.

Kamal noted that Pakistan registered 84,000 HIV cases nationwide. Of these, 61,000 patients are undergoing treatment while 24,000 are untraceable. The minister emphasized that HIV is treatable and patients need lifelong medication.

He also revealed that mosquito nets worth $800,000 were stolen from Pakistan with no convictions. “We will not hide our shortcomings,” Kamal said. He announced plans to ban 10cc syringes, following a previous ban on 3cc syringes. HIV screening centers will be increased from 98 to 106.
