Motorway Police Recover Hijacked Drug Shipment in Sindh

NAWABSHAH (Web Desk) – The Motorway Police South Zone recovered a hijacked Mazda truck loaded with medicines worth millions of rupees during a timely operation near the Nawabshah Link Road in Sindh, officials said.

According to a police spokesperson, the vehicle was carrying pharmaceutical products manufactured by Abbott Laboratories and was en route from Karachi to Sukkur when it was allegedly snatched by unidentified suspects.

The driver immediately alerted authorities through the Motorway Police 130 emergency helpline. Acting swiftly, officers utilized modern tracking technology to trace the vehicle’s location and successfully recovered the truck along with its cargo.

Officials said further investigation is underway to identify and apprehend those involved in the incident. The recovered medicines were reportedly worth millions of rupees, underscoring the scale of the attempted theft.

The Motorway Police reiterated its commitment to ensuring the safety of national highways and protecting commercial transport operations across the region.
