Minus One’ Move Could Backfire Beyond Control, Says Gohar

Date:

ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar said on Wednesday that if one person is targeted or “minus,” then no one will remain afterwards, and the situation will spiral out of control.

Speaking to the media outside Parliament House, Barrister Gohar said, “This is not the business world where you remove one of two and the other stays. If you minus one, none will be left. Water cannons were used on Khan Sahib’s sisters — enough is enough.”

He stated that no one is being allowed to meet PTI founder Imran Khan, and whoever comes for a meeting is subjected to water cannons. “If those people had stayed for two more hours, what loss would it have caused to the country or the nation?” he asked.

Barrister Gohar added, “You are making excuses that Khan’s tweet is the reason meetings are not happening. Is Bushra Bibi’s family holding press conferences? Why are their meetings also being blocked?”

He warned that if this continues, the outcome will be beyond anyone’s control. “We are part of the system to ensure democracy survives in this country. At the moment, we represent three crore (30 million) people.”

The PTI chairman further said that a resolution was passed in the provincial assembly yesterday. “This time you are turning the federating units against one another. What ban are you planning to impose on PTI? You haven’t even accepted our certificate yet. If things continue like this, even in a month the situation will slip out of your hands.”
