JUI-S Secretary General Warns Parents Could Be ‘Blackmailed’ by Controversial Law

Islamabad, Pakistan, Web Desk: Secretary General of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-S), Maulana Abdulgafur Haidari, has strongly criticized the proposed child marriage bill, calling it contrary to the Constitution of Pakistan and Islamic principles (Quran & Sunnah). Haidari warned that the bill could blackmail parents, as disciplining children to educate them would become legally punishable under the new law. He emphasized that passing such legislation violates both religious injunctions and constitutional provisions that prevent laws conflicting with Islamic teachings.
