Punjab CM Criticizes KP Leadership, Calls Development Promises Hollow
Rajanpur, Pakistan | Web Desk: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz sharply criticized the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government over development claims, asking if “consciousness” can fill people’s stomachs or serve as employment. Speaking at the inauguration of Green Electric Buses in Rajanpur, she said the KP government deprives people of real rights, jobs, and development, while offering only rhetoric.
Maryam Nawaz accused KP leaders of double standards, highlighting that workers’ children face hardships while political elites send their children abroad. She also took a dig at PTI founder, questioning the practicality of development projects inaugurated via air travel, saying, “They fly to inaugurate projects—where will they take the plane? No plane lands in Adiala.”
The CM emphasized that Pakistan’s people need tangible progress, jobs, and infrastructure, not mere slogans or “consciousness programs.” Her visit to Rajanpur also marked the launch of the Green Electric Bus project, aimed at modernizing public transport and promoting sustainable mobility in the region.
