Kuwait Suspends Tarawih Prayers, Qatar Halts Iftar Events Amid Tensions

Date:

Kuwait & Doha – Web Desk: Iranian missile strikes targeting US military bases in the Gulf, Kuwait and Qatar have imposed precautionary measures to protect the public.

In Kuwait, the Ministry of Islamic Affairs announced the suspension of Tarawih prayers across mosques until further notice. Authorities cited the current security situation as the reason for the decision, emphasizing public safety.

In Qatar, authorities temporarily suspended mass Iftar gatherings, public events, and recreational programs after multiple explosions were reported over Doha throughout the day. Additionally, the Qatari government announced a temporary work-from-home directive for all ministries, public institutions, and government bodies as a precautionary measure.

Officials noted that debris from intercepted or destroyed missiles had landed in various areas, prompting stricter safety protocols. Authorities continue to monitor the situation closely and will restore normal activities once security conditions improve.
