Ten defendants in KP financial scandal return Rs23.77 crore assets to NAB
Peshawar, Pakistan – Web Desk: Significant progress has been reported in the Kohistan financial corruption scandal in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as ten accused individuals have voluntarily surrendered and filed a request to return assets worth Rs23.77 crore to NAB.
During the hearing at the Accountability Court, Administrative Judge Muhammad Zafar Khan presided over the case, with NAB Deputy Prosecutor General Muhammad Ali, Prosecutor Mank Shah, and Investigation Officer Muhammad Inayatullah present.
The defendants, identified as nominees holding assets on behalf of the main culprits, requested to relinquish their claims over properties including plots and luxury vehicles. Deputy Prosecutor General Muhammad Ali informed the court that if the assets are surrendered, NAB would not pursue further action against these individuals.
The court recorded all statements, and a written decision on the application is expected to be announced later.
