London, UK – Web Desk: Jemima Khan, former wife of Pakistan’s ex-Prime Minister Imran Khan, has been fined £1,000 by a UK court for violating traffic laws. According to reports, the penalty was imposed after her vehicle, registered in her name, was driven above the legal speed limit.
The court also noted that Jemima Khan failed to respond promptly to a police notice requesting driver details—a separate offense under British law. The fine of £1,000 is equivalent to approximately PKR 370,000.
During proceedings, Khan explained that renovation work at her home had delayed receipt of the notice, which had been misplaced among construction materials. She further clarified that the vehicle was being driven by a builder, not herself, at the time of the incident, but as the registered owner, she bore legal responsibility.
Khan admitted her mistake in court, stating she would pay the fine in accordance with the law. Media reports also note that Jemima Khan was married to Imran Khan from 1995 to 2004, and the couple share two sons.
