Rome, Italy – Web Desk: Italy has announced plans to issue 10,500 work visas for skilled Pakistani workers, while also granting visa-free entry to holders of Pakistani diplomatic passports, following a request by Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi.
During an official visit to Italy, Naqvi met with his Italian counterpart to discuss bilateral cooperation on migration, security, and labor mobility. The Italian interior minister assured Pakistan of increased employment opportunities for its skilled workforce under Italy’s labor migration framework.
Naqvi briefed the Italian side on Pakistan’s measures to curb illegal immigration and human trafficking. The Italian interior minister praised Pakistan’s efforts in combating illegal migration, human smuggling, and drug trafficking, calling them significant and effective.
The development reflects growing cooperation between Pakistan and Italy on migration management and labor mobility, as both countries seek to strengthen bilateral ties and legal migration pathways.
