Hezbollah Targets Hit by Israel; Tensions Escalate After 2024 Truce
Beirut, Lebanon, Web Desk: Israeli airstrikes in southern Lebanon have killed two people and injured several others, targeting areas near Kharbet Silm and Dardghaya village. Lebanon’s Ministry of Health confirmed the casualties, while the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) stated that Hezbollah facilities, including a weapons manufacturing site and military positions, were targeted. In Kharbet Silm, one person was killed and five wounded, and another was killed in Dardghaya. IDF claims attacks also hit military installations in Eastern Beka’a and vehicles used by Hezbollah operatives. These strikes come despite the November 2024 ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hezbollah. Lebanon’s army recently completed a disarmament plan targeting Hezbollah, which Israel has deemed insufficient. The ongoing attacks reflect heightened tensions in the region and concerns over stability in southern Lebanon.
