Israel Strikes Iran’s Presidential Palace; Khamenei in Safe Location

Date:

Tehran, Iran – Web Desk: Israel has intensified its military actions against Iran, targeting government headquarters and the presidential palace in Tehran on 28 February 2026. The attacks have raised global concern, prompting urgent questions about the whereabouts of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

According to Iranian officials cited by international news agencies, Khamenei was not in Tehran during the strikes and had been moved earlier to a highly secure and undisclosed location. Israeli media reports indicate that a senior Iranian government official was among the intended targets.

The operation, reportedly planned weeks in advance, involved multiple missile strikes across Tehran. Explosions were also reported in Isfahan, Kermanshah, and Qom, causing widespread panic. Communications in some areas of Tehran were disrupted, with mobile networks down and internet speed severely reduced, hampering emergency response coordination.

The direct targeting of the presidential palace and areas near the Supreme Leader’s residence marks a serious escalation in Israel-Iran tensions, heightening fears of a broader regional conflict. Authorities continue to assess the scale of damage and monitor for any potential retaliatory responses.
