Tel Aviv, Israel – Web Desk: Tensions have escalated between Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Mossad Chief David Barnea over Israel’s military actions against Iran, Iranian media reports.
According to Iranian sources, Barnea has not participated in key meetings led by Netanyahu over the past week, citing disagreements over the conduct of the Iran war.
The dispute reportedly stems from Netanyahu’s accusations that Mossad provided misleading intelligence on Iran’s military capabilities and domestic political landscape. Netanyahu allegedly claimed this misinformation influenced the decision to launch military operations against Iran, creating uncertain outcomes and potential risks to Israel’s security.
Mossad, however, maintains that accurate, factual reports were provided to the Prime Minister. The intelligence agency asserts that Netanyahu independently decided to initiate military action, making him responsible for any operational failures.
This internal conflict highlights potential fissures in Israel’s national security decision-making as regional tensions with Iran remain high.
