Tehran/Israel – Web Desk: Israel and the United States have carried out coordinated airstrikes on Tehran, Iran, triggering emergency sirens and prompting school closures across Israel. The joint operation, confirmed by the Israeli Defense Minister, involved U.S. Air Force participation and reportedly targeted key military and intelligence sites.
Following the strikes, at least three major explosions were reported in Tehran, with additional attacks noted in Bushehr, Khorramabad, Isfahan, and near Mehrabad Airport. Iranian media reported that missiles hit University Street and the Democratic Area, while Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei was reportedly moved to a secure location. Iran subsequently closed its airspace, and Iraq temporarily suspended air traffic.
In response, Israeli authorities instructed citizens to remain indoors and activated emergency protocols. Israeli officials confirmed that this was the first wave of a multi-day operation intended to neutralize immediate threats. Iran has announced plans for a powerful retaliatory strike, escalating tensions across the Middle East.
U.S. President Donald Trump termed the mission “Epic Fury,” emphasizing the destruction of Iran’s missile program and naval capabilities. He warned that Iranian forces would face “certain death” if they did not surrender and stressed that American personnel could be at risk during the operation.
