Islamabad, Pakistan – Web Desk Authorities in Islamabad have issued a red alert amid rising security concerns, with several major roads across the federal capital closed using containers as part of heightened security measures.
According to officials, law enforcement agencies including the Islamabad Police have been placed on high alert, while senior officers are directly overseeing operations across the city.
Sources said the Inspector General of Police, along with all Deputy Inspectors General and other senior officials, are present in the field monitoring security arrangements and coordinating responses to potential threats.
Police have also launched search operations in multiple areas of the city, intensifying security patrols and surveillance.
Authorities further tightened checks at all entry and exit points of the capital, with strict vehicle inspections and identity checks underway.
Security screening has been significantly increased in areas including Iran Avenue, Rawat T-Cross, Bahria KahU, and nearby wheat warehouse zones, where police are conducting thorough vehicle checks and searching suspicious individuals.
Officials have urged residents to cooperate with law enforcement and follow traffic advisories as the heightened security operation continues.
