ISLAMABAD: District Bart Association Islamabad has demanded apology from Capital police over crackdown on on lawyers outside National Press Club otherwise the District Bar Association will strike on Saturday.
After a meeting of general body, District Bar Association issues notice of lawyers strike on Saturday against police manhandling.
Bar association gives police officers 11 am deadline to apologize otherwise layers will move on with strike and boycott courts. The Bar Association stated that peaceful protest is a fundamental and legal right of every citizen.
The Bar said Police officers should apologize for arresting lawyers otherwise police entry into the court will be blocked. The announcement said attack on a bar official was an attack on the entire bar, which was unacceptable.
