IRGC Claims Strike on US Fifth Fleet Base in Bahrain

Date:

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed it launched an attack on the United States Navy’s Fifth Fleet base in Bahrain early Tuesday, targeting key military infrastructure.

Manama, Bahrain – Web Desk: According to a statement attributed to the IRGC, the alleged strike targeted the base’s command and control center, naval support administration facilities, warehouses, and fuel storage tanks. The group claimed the facilities were destroyed during the operation.

The claims have not been independently verified, and there has been no immediate confirmation or response from the United States military or Bahraini authorities regarding the reported attack.

The US Fifth Fleet, headquartered in Bahrain, is responsible for safeguarding maritime security across the Arabian Gulf, the Gulf of Oman, the Red Sea, and parts of the Indian Ocean. Any confirmed attack on the base would mark a significant escalation in regional tensions involving Iran and the United States.
