Tehran, Iran – Web Desk: Iran’s Quds Force commander, Esmail Qaani, has called on the world to prepare for a “new regional order” in the Middle East, asserting that Iran-backed groups have reshaped the security landscape.
Speaking in a statement reported by French news agencies and Iranian state media, Qaani praised the operations of groups supported by Iran, including Lebanon’s Hezbollah and Yemen’s Houthi rebels, claiming their actions exposed what he described as the false promises of the Israeli government.
Qaani criticized Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s plan to establish a “security belt” in the region, claiming Iran’s allied groups successfully countered the strategy.
The message was originally shared on the social media platform X but was later suspended for violating platform rules. Despite this, Iranian official outlets and news agencies also broadcast the statement.
Esmail Qaani has led the Quds Force since 2020 following the U.S. killing of Qasem Soleimani. He briefly surfaced in media reports last year amid a short conflict between Israel and Iran, during which rumors of his death circulated, though he later reappeared publicly.
