A senior Iranian commander says any military aggression will face a decisive response as reports emerge of possible new US-Israeli strikes.
TEHRAN, Iran — WEB DESK: Iran has issued a fresh warning to the United States and Israel, saying any attack on its critical infrastructure would trigger a strong response as tensions in the Middle East continue to escalate.
According to Iranian state media, Major General Ali Abdollahi, a senior commander of Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya Air Defense Headquarters, said the era of carrying out military aggression without consequences had ended.
Iran Issues Warning
Ali Abdollahi said any action based on what he described as “miscalculations” would be met with a comprehensive response.
He also claimed that the United States and its allies now understand the risks of military confrontation with Iran, adding that the country possesses both the capability and the determination to respond to any aggression.
Iran’s semi-official Tasnim News Agency reported that Tehran has a comprehensive plan in place to counter potential attacks.
Reports of Possible New Strikes
The statement comes after media reports claimed that US President Donald Trump had authorized preparations for possible new military strikes on Iran.
According to those reports, the United States and Israel are allegedly considering attacks on Iranian energy infrastructure. However, no official confirmation of such plans has been issued by Washington or Tel Aviv.
Trump Questions Prospects for Deal
Speaking during a cabinet meeting, President Trump accused Iran of failing to honor its commitments and making misleading statements.
He said his confidence in reaching an agreement with Tehran was declining, raising further uncertainty over diplomatic efforts between the two countries.
