Tehran, Iran – Web Desk: Renowned Iranian scholar Vali Nasr has claimed that Iran may seek a guarantee from Pakistan in the event of any potential agreement with the United States.
In a post shared on social media, Nasr suggested that the reported diplomatic engagement could be linked to the expected visit of Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar to Beijing. He indicated that the purpose of the visit may include seeking broader guarantees, potentially involving China, in case of a future agreement.
Nasr further noted that Islamabad may have already engaged both Washington and Beijing on the idea of a multi-party guarantee framework before any formal negotiations materialize.
The analyst also highlighted China’s growing diplomatic role, stating that Beijing has emerged at the forefront of efforts aimed at securing a ceasefire and easing tensions in the region.
The claims have not been independently verified, but they underscore the evolving geopolitical dynamics and the potential involvement of regional powers in any future US-Iran deal.
