Tehran, Iran – Web Desk: Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei said that while Iran and the United States reached agreement on several issues during recent negotiations, a final deal could not be concluded due to two or three key outstanding matters.
Speaking in Tehran, Baghaei described the latest round of talks as the longest in the past year, lasting approximately 24 to 25 hours. He noted that despite progress, differences remain on several points, preventing a comprehensive agreement.
He emphasized that diplomacy is an ongoing process and a key tool for safeguarding national interests, adding that it was unrealistic to expect a full agreement in a single نشست.
The spokesperson also thanked Pakistan for its facilitative role, expressing appreciation to the government, people, and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for supporting the dialogue process. He added that Iran will remain in close contact with Pakistan and other regional partners.
