Tehran, Iran – Web Desk: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has said that negotiations on a final agreement will not begin as long as threats against Iran continue.
In a statement posted on social media, Araghchi said millions of Iranians demonstrated unity by attending the funeral of the late Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, adding that neither the Iranian people nor the country’s armed forces would be intimidated by threats.
The Iranian foreign minister stated that Clause 13 of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) clearly stipulates that negotiations on a final agreement cannot proceed while threats remain in place.
He also called on the other party to honour its commitments, saying, “Respect your signature.”
Araghchi’s remarks come amid continued diplomatic efforts and heightened regional tensions, as discussions over a potential long-term agreement remain under international scrutiny.
