TEHRAN, Iran – Web Desk: Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya Brigade has issued a stark warning that any military action by Israel or the United States during the funeral rites or prayers for the late Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei would be met with an extremely severe response.
According to Iranian media reports, the Brigade stated in its announcement that adversaries should seriously consider the consequences of any potential action, as Iran will not tolerate any compromise to its national security or disrespect to its sacred figures. The statement emphasized that Khamenei’s funeral is an extremely sensitive occasion and that Iran’s armed forces are fully prepared to ensure the country’s security.
Iranian officials have confirmed that Ayatollah Khamenei’s funeral prayer will be held tomorrow in Tehran, with numerous heads of state, senior government officials, religious leaders, and representatives from approximately 100 countries expected to attend. According to official information, after the funeral prayer, Khamenei’s casket will be taken from Tehran to Qom, then to Najaf and Karbala in Iraq, before being returned to Iran for burial in Mashhad.
Iranian authorities say more than 10 million people are expected to participate in the funeral rites and procession, prompting extraordinary security arrangements across the country.
