Iran FM Contacts Pakistan Leadership Over Regional Ceasefire

Date:

(Web Desk) – Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has held separate telephone conversations with Pakistan’s top political and military leadership, discussing the evolving regional situation and ongoing ceasefire-related developments, according to Iranian state media.

Iranian news agency reports said Araghchi spoke with Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, as well as Field Marshal Asim Munir. The discussions reportedly focused on regional stability, diplomatic coordination, and efforts related to maintaining or advancing a ceasefire framework.

While details of the conversations were not fully disclosed, the Iranian side indicated that both regional security dynamics and de-escalation measures were part of the dialogue.

Pakistan has been actively engaging with multiple international stakeholders, including the United States and Iran, as part of broader diplomatic efforts aimed at reducing tensions in the region. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, and senior military leadership have reportedly remained in continuous contact with relevant countries.

Diplomatic observers say such high-level engagements reflect ongoing efforts to prevent further escalation in an already sensitive geopolitical environment.
