Iran Firm on Nuclear Stance, Warns US Against Forced Negotiations

Date:

Tehran, Iran – Web Desk: Iran has issued a firm response to growing pressure from the United States over its nuclear program, signaling that it will not yield to coercion or threats.

According to Iranian media, U.S. President Donald Trump questioned his special envoy, Steve Witkoff, about why Iran had not made concessions despite mounting pressure and a U.S. naval presence in the region. Iranian officials, including Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi, responded proudly, asserting that defiance is rooted in the Iranian national character.

In statements on social media, Araqchi emphasized that Iran will not compromise its principles, highlighting the country’s historical resilience against foreign interventions. Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi added that any attempt to impose war on Iran would have consequences far beyond the two nations involved, potentially affecting the entire region.

Gharibabadi further noted at the United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva that adversaries who suffered defeats in past conflicts may seek chaos to justify further military action, but it is Iran, he said, that would ultimately control the outcome.

Iranian authorities continue to maintain that the nation’s nuclear program is strictly defensive and that no external pressure or threats will force a compromise on national interests. Analysts suggest that Tehran’s firm stance signals a commitment to regional stability and sovereignty despite U.S. attempts at coercion.
