Iran Calls Latest Missile Wave Revenge for 2010 Mavi Marmara Attack

Date:

Tehran, Iran – Web Desk: The Islamic Republic of Iran has announced that its 88th wave of missile strikes under Operation Vadeh Sadeq 4 was carried out as revenge for the victims of the Mavi Marmara, a ship targeted during the 2010 Freedom Flotilla aimed at breaking the blockade of Gaza.

According to Iranian statements, missiles used in the operation bore a quote from former Turkish Prime Minister Necmettin Erbakan, stating: “Israel does not understand words; it only understands force.”

The 2010 incident saw the Israeli military attack the Mavi Marmara, resulting in the deaths of nine activists and injuries to 30 others, escalating tensions between Israel and activists attempting to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza.

Iran’s declaration frames the recent missile wave as a symbolic response to what it considers past injustices, emphasizing its stance on defending Palestinian causes and retaliating against perceived aggression.
