Indian couple sentenced to death for child abuse dark web crimes.

Date:

Lucknow, India – Web Desk: An Indian court in Uttar Pradesh has sentenced a husband and wife to death for sexually abusing dozens of children and selling their images and videos on the dark web across 47 countries, Indian media reported.

According to court findings, the couple sexually exploited at least 33 minor boys over a period of ten years. Some of the victims were as young as three years old. Investigators said the offenders lured children through online video games, cash, and gifts before committing the crimes.

Authorities revealed that the abuse material was distributed and sold on dark web platforms to buyers in 47 countries. The court ruled that the couple subjected the children to severe physical and psychological torture, leaving some victims hospitalized and others with long-term physical complications.

Police investigations confirmed the crimes occurred between 2010 and 2020. The criminal network was uncovered after Interpol alerted India’s Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) during a global probe into illegal child exploitation content. A formal case was registered against the couple in October 2020.

The court has directed the Uttar Pradesh government and relevant departments to ensure rehabilitation, psychological treatment, and a secure future for the victims. It also ordered financial compensation of 1 million Indian rupees per child to the affected families.
