ICC Suspends West Indies Player and 2 Officials Over Corruption

Sports Desk | Dubai, UAE The International Cricket Council (ICC) has suspended a West Indies player along with two team officials over corruption allegations in the West Indies B10 League.

The ICC confirmed that the player, Javon Searles, and officials Trivon Griffith and Chitranjan Rathod were involved in attempts to manipulate match outcomes. The player allegedly participated in match-fixing and failed to report corruption approaches, while the officials violated ICC regulations by attempting to influence game results improperly.

Previously, Pune Devils officials Prag Singhvi and Krishan Kumar Choudhary had already been handed two-year bans for similar offenses.

The ICC emphasized its zero-tolerance approach toward corruption in cricket and stated that investigations are ongoing, with further disciplinary action possible as new evidence emerges.
