Body of Advocate Sheikh Abdul Rauf recovered in I-9 area; High Court Bar announces strike
The bullet-riddled body of Islamabad High Court lawyer Sheikh Abdul Rauf has been recovered near the PTV office in the I-9 sector of Islamabad, triggering concern within the legal community. According to Express News, the body was found within the jurisdiction of I-9 Police Station and was later identified as that of Advocate Sheikh Abdul Rauf.
Police sources stated that the victim was shot in the back of the head, with the bullet exiting through the forehead, indicating a fatal gunshot wound. Following the incident, the Islamabad High Court Bar Association announced a strike to protest the killing and demand swift justice.
Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the motive and circumstances surrounding the murder.
