Beirut, Lebanon – Web Desk: Lebanon’s Hezbollah has said that its armed resistance will continue as long as Israeli forces remain present on Lebanese territory, according to statements reported by Arab media sources.
The group’s sources emphasized that any potential ceasefire agreement cannot include provisions allowing Israeli military freedom of movement inside Lebanon. They also rejected any arrangement that would restore conditions to the status quo before March 2, in which, they claim, Israeli forces were able to operate without restrictions.
Hezbollah further stated that the continued presence of Israeli troops on Lebanese soil constitutes an occupation, and therefore, Lebanon and its people retain what it described as the right to resist through all available means until a full withdrawal is achieved.
The remarks come amid ongoing regional tensions and renewed diplomatic discussions surrounding security arrangements along the Lebanon-Israel frontier.
