Karachi: Pakistan People’s Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has expressed profound sorrow over the tragic fire at Gul Plaza on M.A. Jinnah Road, which resulted in the loss of precious lives and heavy financial damage.
Offering condolences to the families of the deceased, Bilawal said he stands with them in this difficult time and extended best wishes for the speedy recovery of the injured.
He directed the Sindh Chief Minister and Karachi Mayor to utilize all available resources to extinguish the fire, carry out rescue operations, and provide maximum assistance to the victims.
Bilawal also ordered an immediate and transparent investigation to determine the cause of the fire and stressed the need for effective measures to prevent such incidents in the future, ensuring the safety of citizens’ lives and property.
He emphasized that in a metropolis like Karachi, safety protocols must be strengthened, and negligence or carelessness will not be tolerated.
